A 24-year-old Davenport man was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for allegedly trafficking crack cocaine, according to a news release issued by Matthew J. Cannon, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois.

Ramar Allen Muskeyvalley is charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute crack cocaine. The charge carries a prison sentence of five to 40 years.

The indictment alleges that on July 19 in Rock Island, Muskeyvalley conspired with at least another person to possess and then distribute 5 grams or more of crack cocaine.

Muskeyvalley was arrested July 19 and is being held in jail until his arraignment. A date for his arraignment in U.S. District Court, Rock Island, will be set by the clerk of the court.

The case was investigated by the Rock Island Police Department, East Moline Police Department and the FBI Quad-Cities Gang Task Force.
