Norm Voelliger, a candidate for Bettendorf City Council representing the 1st Ward, will hold a meet-the-candidate meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bettendorf Community Center, 2204 Grant St.
Bettendorf residents are invited to stop by and ask questions.
Voelliger, a retired insurance agent with a combined 32 years of elected office in the city, will square off against Dean Mayne, a physical therapist supervisor at Genesis Medical Center and a former president and board member of the Quad-Cities Bicycle Club in a special election. The election is set for Sept. 2 to fill a vacancy due to a council member’s resignation.
