The U.S. Attorney’s office has charged Evander Allen Jordan Jr. with robbing the Milan DHCU Community Credit Union on June 23.

Jordan, 23, address unavailable, faces a single bank robbery count in U.S. District Court, Rock Island. According to court records, Jordan used a handgun to rob the credit union’s Milan branch of $112,140.

Milan police said a man robbed a credit union employee who was working on an ATM at 8:50 a.m. at 371 W. 3rd St., Milan. A second person was waiting for the robber in a nearby car.

The charge was filed July 28, the same day Jordan was arrested, and kept under seal until his indictment Wednesday. The complaint remained sealed Thursday, and Jordan’s alleged role in the robbery was unclear.

Jordan remained in custody Thursday, and his next court had not been set.
