Women of Year nominations sought

Nominations are being sought for the eighth annual Quad-City Women of the Year awards.

The program, which seeks to honor women who have made a difference in the community through volunteerism, is sponsored by Junior League of the Quad-Cities and the Quad-City Times.

The nomination form is available at jlqc.org. Nominations also can be mailed to Sarah Gebhart, 1985 Hollow View Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722. Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 12.

Awards will be presented to five adult women and one female student (high school or college) at the Women of the Year luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Outing Club. Junior League of the Quad-Cities will present a $300 monetary award to each recipient’s charity of choice.

Tickets for the luncheon are $25 each or $200 for a table of 10. Reservations can be made by contacting Elisabeth Norwood at (563) 332-0704.
