Good Tuesday morning, Quad-Cities. At 6 a.m. it’s a cool 53 degrees under fair skies in the Quad-Cities. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 78 degrees and a low around 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Northwest Boulevard road work

Northwest Boulevard between Ridgeview Drive and 73rd Street will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic all Wednesday while a contractor constructs the northbound lanes of the new Northwest Boulevard pavement. Residents on the east side of Northwest Boulevard in this area will need to find alternate parking across the street until mid-Friday. Street closures include 71st and 72nd streets west of Northwest Boulevard while 67th and 73rd streets will remain open west of Northwest Boulevard. Northbound and southbound traffic on Northwest Boulevard will alternate on the west shoulder, controlled by flaggers. Delays should be expected. The use of alternate routes is strongly suggested.

Check for area road work/closings and closings across Iowa and Illinois are before you head out this morning.
