Man faces charges in RI church burglary

A man is in jail today after he was found Wednesday night inside a Rock Island church that had been burglarized two other times in the past week.

A Rock Island police officer was on routine patrol around midnight when he noticed a broken window at the Church of Peace, 1114 12th St. Inside he found Archie Ross, 51, no address available.

Ross has been charged with burglary and is in the Rock Island County Jail this morning.
