Nominees sought for Komen survivor chair

Nominees are being accepted for Honorary Survivor Chair for the 20th annual Susan G. Komen Quad-Cities Race for the Cure.

The  honor will be awarded to a participating supporter of the event and a survivor of breast cancer. Eligible individuals must be a breast cancer survivor of at least two years, have participated in the Komen Quad-Cities Race for the Cure, be enthusiastic about the cause, and have an optimistic attitude and passion for helping others. The position will require time and effort to participate in interviews during the day and evening hours and willingness to share personal experiences.

The race will be June 13, 2009, in the John Deere Commons area of downtown Moline.

Nomination forms are available by calling (563) 421-2873 or (877) 921-2873, or can be downloaded from the Web site at komenquadcities.org. Nominations must be received by Sept. 19.
