Gloria Isham has been hired as deputy director of Scott Emergency Communication Center.

Her starting salary is $54,948, according to director Brian Hitchcock.

Isham is currently supervising countywide dispatching services in Scott County and has 29 years experience; she was selected from 22 applicants after a national search and unanimous recommendation from the six-member interview panel.

Isham will help develop standard operating procedures for the new center and assist in transitions when personnel move from current agencies in 2010.

SECC was formed in 2007 when Scott County, Davenport, Bettendorf, Medics EMS and Emergency Management Agency entered into an intergovernmental agreement to consolidate public safety dispatch and communication  services.
