Drivers in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 74 heading into Illinois can expect delays beginning Monday night as construction work will force the closing of one lane.
The construction work will be at the Iowa-Illinois state lines.
The Iowa Department of Transportation, Davenport Construction Office, announced that the work will close one lane of travel at all times and may fully close I-74 intermittently for up to
20 minute intervals doing the overnight hours.
The overnight closures can take place from 10 p.m. until
6 a.m. each night through Friday. The open travel lane is restricted to a 12-foot width.
