The medical director of the Trinity Cancer Center in Moline will headline this week’s Health Chat, which is set for 9-9:30 a.m. Friday on quadsville.com.

Health Chats is an online discussion session hosted by Quadsville, a Quad-City Times Web site.

Constantinou, a hematologist and oncologist, graduated from the medical school at the University of Athens in Greece, completed his residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago and a fellowship at the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minn.

He has offices in two locations: Hematology and Oncology Care, 1409 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, and at 600 John Deere Road, Moline.

Cancer, in all its forms, is the second-leading cause of death among Americans, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

To participate Friday morning, go to the quadsville.com Web site. Look in the left-hand column for a blog post with the title, “Live Chat: Cancer with Dr. Costas Constantinou.” When you open the post, you will see a “chat window” that will be activated at 9 a.m. Simply type in your name and question in the appropriate fields and click on “send.”

Moderator Melissa Coulter will slot the questions into the online discussion, so they may not appear immediately. But once the chat has ended, the session can be replayed at any time so viewers can read all that was discussed during it.
