United Neighbors Inc., Davenport, received $20,000 to provide housing counseling to homeless, homebuyers and owners and low- to moderate-income renters through U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Counselors will help participants improve housing conditions, meet responsibilities of tenancy and homeownership, and avoid harmful conditions including inflated appraisals, unreasonably high interest rates and unaffordable repayment terms.
